Hi, Just wondering if there are any guys out there who are spray tanning, apart from the top celebrity sprayers like jimmy coco! ! I appreciate for obvious reasons why it is a female oriented business but my situation is that my wife has gone back to work full time after our second child and I am taking on more of a house husband role but still need some form of income coming in and this business seems to provide the perfect way to provide a service and enable me to work round the kids. I already do some custom airbrush work so already have some of the gear needed. I can imagine raised eyebrows in certain quarters but obviously I would aim to provide a truly professional experience for the customer. Apologies for going on but any advice would be greatfully recieved. Regards Russ

Hi Russ, welcome to the forum! Well I will say it's difficult to predict how female customers might feel getting virtually naked in front of you being a bloke but saying that I have a variety of customers with some being quite prudish to others with no inhibitions at all. I would suggest that you clearly state that you are a male spray tanner in any advertising you do and possibly set yourself apart from the competition by initially targeting the male population, as men like to be tanned too. Then you could offer WAG deals once you build your male clientelle up and hopefully referrals will start flooding in! Anyway the best of luck with things x

Hi Russ. . Good for you. . . You could have a great market by visiting local gyms and dance studios! As I am certain some of the males would want spray tans but are too embarrassed to go to us ladies! Some may therefore want to be totally naked too! (WHich for obvious reasons I dont do! ) When I spray male clients I always insist there is a female present in the room (unless I know them of course! ) Good luck though! Xx
