Hi there i just wondered if anyone has experienced problems with the pro2000 mobile compressor. Ive had mine for over a year and for the whole time ive had it, its like ive not had full pressure, everytime i keep my finger on the triger for too long its like the pressure cuts out, at first i just thought this was normal and just got on with tanning folk, but then i was just about to start tanning my mother in law a few weeks back and it was like there was no solution getting through, so i checked all connections and made sure all areas were clean and free from blockage but it still seems as if there is no solution coming through.

Check your psi dial, if you pull the trigger, and the needle settles on 20+ then the machine is fine. If your solution is not coming out then your gun is blocked, and you will need to take the nozzel and the nut off at the front to clean it. Also make sure the wires are on the right way round, cause I put them on the wrong way and kept loosing pressure. Hope this works, if not give the company a call.

I put my psi on 20 but when i spray the gun it goes up and then its like the pressure dies. I have taken apart gun and cleaned thoroughly but this hasn't changed.

The needle will drop to about 2 when spraying and if you hold the trigger when spraying for a time the pressure will drop, but when you let go the needle should go back to where it started. THe pro2000 only has one air tank so air so if you hold the trigger for two long the tank will drain, spray in quick stages. As for the solution not coming out, that is a problem with the gun. It should take about 6 mins to do a spray, if it is taking longer then you are draining the tank quicker. Hope this makes some sense.

The other thing, have you cleaned the filters on the machine.

The filters? Is that the bit that fills with water sometimes and you push up on it and it drains!

I moved on to a pro5000 quite quickly because i found this annoying and a problem with how long it took to spray a body. No solution coming thr is your gun. The loss of pressure is the compressor, its designed to spray in short compressions, you cant hold the gun on for long, you also have to patient with it and wait for pressure to build up. The filters are not what you mentioned they are little round discs of pale coloured foam, but really those should not be clogged up with solution anyway, you may have another problem if they are.
i had to work my pro2000 on a psi of around 25, but air and solution dials were set to bare minimum. Soon outgrew this bit of kit and never looked back with pro5000 from here. Brilliant machine. I couldnt do group bookings with the pro2000 easily, the 5000 glides through 10/15 bodies non stop.
