Hi girls, I sprayed a new client on Thursday evening and she called me Friday morning to say the bottoms of her legs hadn't taken. She swears she prep her skin properly and had nothing on them but when I went round to look at them they were completely white from the knee down. The thing is that she wanted brown legs for a dress she was wearing without tights so I gave her a double spray and I know that when I left she definitely looked alright. Anyway she now tells me she is menopausal. I know we are told in our training that hormones can affect the skin so do you think this may have caused it? ? I thought she may had night sweats and sweated it off but she said she doesn't. Have any of you ever encountered this problem? ? Tina xx

This some times happens with customers, the first thing to take note if the tan has worked every where else then there is nothing wrong with the product, and I would tell this to your customer, most people complain their legs do not tan this is because the skin area is thin and after years of shaving and waxing, the skin is not good at tanning. I bet if you ask her how she tans on her legs on holiday she will tell you they don't tan well, in which case a fake tan will not do much better and will not hold. If on the other hand she as says her legs tan well then she must ave a product on her legs.

Yes she did say her legs never tan in the sun. You may also have a point when you said about the years of shaving and waxing cos her legs were really shiny and transparent like you could see through the skin. I went back and sprayed them again and she didn't call me so I assume they took the second time. Thanks for the advice Take Tan.

You say her legs were shiny, that screams product on her legs, don't worry customers often get it wrong. .
