dark tan
By: Onatural | Posted on: 14/02/2010 09:17

Hi I have been asked to tan some firemen for a weekend in Benidorm, they have asked to be "David Dickinson" tanned, that dark, verging on orange look. I use A-tan solution but only really use 10% then I have booster drops for anyone that wants to be darker. I have only ever gone to 12% (with the booster drops) was wondering what solution % I should use to get the dark look? ? ? would more booster drops in 10% work? ?

You can get 16 % solutions. Never tried them but i'd imagine they would be ok if you go with a brand name like Sienna X who do one.

Ok ladies, you need to understand the basics of DHA, we are what is classed as north european skin tones( if you are a uk average skin tone) yes I hear some people screaming I have olive skin , in which case you suit a darker DHA, but I fake tan properly applied should look natural not over done which results in a ORANGE GLOW. If you do not tan dark in the sun then do not go for a heavy DHA or you will glow. Sorry guys but a 18% is very over the top, and apart from LA tan which is new to the industry no other company will go near 18%. I have worked in this industry for along time and every company making solution can supply any level of DHA, from 3% - if you like 20% but choose not to make it as it does not work in this country or any other, that is why you can buy your own booster drops, but most skins will not be able to take or hold much more than13%, and if you talk to most dark skin toned people they do not want to look dark but healthy. You have booster drops, do not waste your money on darker solution , use the drops, but remember if they don't tan well in the first place too much DHA will make them ORANE GLOW. LLook at your instructions on your booster drops and follow them to detail.

I use L. A Disco and its fine if you are careful with it only use a small amount on clients and fully understand what your saying , but did you read what she said? Client wants "David Dickinson" TAN ! ! ! ! ! Personally not for me or my clients to be that dark, I wasnt telling her to go and buy a litre of the stuff just my option if you were to use alot of it and spray tan client within 24 hour period couple times you would probably end up like that ! Feel like im back at school after your comment Golden Girls!

Just use your booster drops, I think it is 8 drops not squirts to 60ml will take it up 1% dha, then you can have any shade you like. Then if your customers like the colour it will be worth buying a litre, but if they dont then you have not wasted your money.
